If you are a Centre Member, love to rally and enjoy social activities on and off the rally field, would like to be part of a team and to help shape the future of rallying, have you thought about joining the Committee to help run your Centre?
If so, your Centre Secretary would be pleased to hear from you, or you could speak with any Centre Officer who will be able to answer all of your questions.
Each Centre is run by volunteers and that Centre Committees are made up of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and Rally Secretary along with up to 11 other Committee Members. The Committee normally meets once a month to discuss Centre business, plan rallies and events and the general running of the Centre.
The election of Committee Members is held during the Centre’s Annual General Meeting which normally takes place in October of each year. A form can be requested from the current Secretary by email and should be submitted at least 2 weeks before the Centre AGM. The Club’s Governance has advised that there will be a slight change this year and it is acceptable to receive an “electronic” signature along with the nomination, this can be in the form of a typed name. The proposer and seconder should be copied into the Nomination form by email reply to ensure transparency in the process. This will ensure that there is no need to pass around forms to different individuals for a signature.
